During our session we will engage in a collaborative and insightful therapeutic experience focused on understanding your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours through the lens of transactional analysis. This form of psychotherapy helps you explore how past experiences influence your current interactions and emotional responses. In the introductory session, we will explain the principles of transactional analysis in detail and discuss how this approach can support your personal growth and improve your relationships. Each session is tailored to your unique needs, providing a safe space to identify patterns and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
Transactional Analysis — or TA — is a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to therapy that looks at the patterns shaping how you experience yourself and your relationships.
It works from a simple but powerful idea: that much of how we behave, feel, and see ourselves was shaped by experiences we had long ago — often in unconscious ways we are not aware of. Many of these patterns operate quietly in the background, influencing our choices, our relationships, and our sense of self without us realising it. With the right support, they can be brought into the light, understood, and changed.
The work is exploratory and led by what matters to you. Whether you're working toward something specific or simply making space for something new to emerge, TA offers a framework that can flex around what you need.

Online sessions are £90 and in-person sessions are £120.
I offer tailored rates for people working in the creative arts — if that's you, just mention it when we speak and we can find something that works.
I also work to a sliding scale. If the standard rate feels out of reach, please don't let that stop you from getting in touch. I'd rather have an honest conversation about what's possible than have you feel that therapy isn't an option. Just drop me a line at hello@jjalmond.com and we can talk it through.
